1) First
of all, it’s really helpful if you share with us your name. Your full
name preferably. Silly nicknames to be added afterwards. Don’t ask
about my own - long story involving a party trick...

They call me 'clever' Monk, probably because I can read. It hasn't escaped my thoughts that it is, in fact, a name of derision given to me by my human masters in the time of internment. Nevertheless, I decided to keep it regardless, much as was the decision taken by the great war-leader Thrall.

2) So from what race do you hail?

I'm an orc. I don't know who my origional clan were, though. I was born into captivity and my earliest memories were that of bondage, and not the fun kind.

3) Tell us a little bit about yourself, keep it short, simple and snappy. Sum up your life so far!

Since my time as a slave, I have ran with a number of clans, both large and
small. These have included the war clans of the Horde while battling
the Alliance as a mercenary; the Dragonmaw clan while investigating the
old ways in Draenor; The Global Warming, as a guest of the self-styled
orc Paladin, Torgg; the Rumsey Rum Ramblers, captained by the wiley
Radovan; Da Plunda Klub, a coalition of loot seekers and adventurers;
finally, I was for many moons captain of Da Ladz, an anarchistic
socialist collective or Orcs, Tauren and Trolls.

Some years back, I decided to leave Da Plunda Klub, largely due to much arguing about who should be running things among the captins and rumours of a break-away group threatening to destroy the coallition. I can only assume this actually happened, as I've not bumped into the senior members since returning to Orgrimmar - maybe they are dead? One cannot know for sure, but one hopes not.

Following this time, I wandered alone for many years. I spent much time in Draenor, which many call outland, disguised as an orc of the Dragonmaw clan. I learned much about the old ways there and the taint of the twisting nether, which blights so many of the orcish race. I also learned the quiet ways of the shaman, although I am not special enough to be able to ask the elements to aid me such as the mightiest of the Orcs. Still, I find such teachings to be of great benefit, when dealing with others. Most recently I have been travelling within the alliance, while using and Orb of Deception. Masquerading as a mute human, I intended to study them further, in order to consider whether or not they are the animals I had always thought. In truth I have found they are as variable as we. Some are capable of great kindness, while others are evil to the core.

For now, I am back within the homeland, clanless and seeking to apprise myself of all that has changed. I have reconnected with my old friend Telenikros, at least. This is comforting and good, even if the old Orc is a Warlock!

4) What do you specialise in? Fighting? Magic? Dodgy deals? What is your area of expertise?

I suppose you would call me a recon specialist.

5) The Alliance, The Scourge and The Burning Legion; What are your personal feelings about these forces?

I feel I may have already covered this. Like many, I have mixed emotions and the debate surrounding these factions becomes more and more complex as one gets older. Thus, when youthful orcs speak in terms of war and erradication, I find it best to sit back, listen to what they say and then debate the finer points with cooler heads.

6) What is your most prized possession?

My motorcycle. May the spirits bless the gnome who was so kind enough to fall off it and leave it to me in his will.

7) How did you hear about the warband?

I recall the Marauders from the early days, just following the declaration of war and the freeing of our people. I remember many who have walked among its ranks, such as Dorn and Zimvarj. I know we fought alongside them in many a battle at Ashenvale, Auberdine and Stromguarde when war captain of Da Ladz. However, I was younger then and am much changed. Currently, I am comrades with Telenikros, and long remember chatting many times with Skulleater.

8 ) Why do you wish to join the warband?

You are still here, which was wecome news to my old ears! Only the most soulless of the old warbands remain, and they were people of little honour then, so I can't imagine that has changed much. You never know, but at least many still say that Shatterskull fight with integrity and honour.

9) Why should we take you?

I am looking for a home where I may be valued for my strengths
and not judged on any apparent weaknesses, for I know I'm not perfect.
What I am is a competent and skilled fighter, a decent fellow and a
team-player. I'm not loot obsessed, I don't worry about politics and
have no desire to be a celebrity of any sort. Rather, I am looking for
a friendly place to hang my hat, find some allies and fight in the
occasional battle. I sincerely hope you can accomodate me.

10) And finally, sum yourself up using one word, and one word only!

Irrepressive!

IRL: I'm an academic, nerd, future husband and would-be emigrant. I've been playing WoW since the start and have been lucky enough to be a member of some pretty smashing guilds. In the past I was something of a hard core raider, and at one time was in one of the top 20 alliance EU guilds. Of course, like anything, once you've been in such a guild, things get a little dull as you realise there's more to life than getting the phat lewt and the server firsts.

After a break from WoW I came back and did some raiding with a friend's guild on Frostmane, getting 8/12 on ICC before leaving shortly after Christmas. Unfortunately for me, what was a social group of friends was quickly evolving into a 'pro' PvE guild, something I had no desire to do or be a part of at that time, especially as Frostmane is a non-RP highly populated server boasting a lot of immature players.

After a short break, I recently returned to my old favourite - that being TVC. I've enjoyed levelling Monk once more, gearing him up, doing some PvP and generally playing to have fun. At the moment, I am looking for a mature community of roleplayers whose main focus is on having fun. I like raiding, but I am not obsessed with it. I find PvP fun, although I really believe Arena has killed competitive gameplay due to relying on competitive setups overly much. I do indeed roleplay and observe the server rules.

You shall see my armoury posted above. I am currently at approximately 5.2kgs in level 232 PvP gear. While not ideal - forcing you to gem for agility as opposed to arp to offset the lack of hit, it's largely superior to tier 9 gear in an instance/raid setting. I am still gearing, however, and have found my dps to be more than competitive as it currently stands. I am currently coming close to completing my training as an enchanter and have recently taken up engineering.

Well, that's it. Thanks for taking the time to read my application. Please don't hesitate to get in touch in-game should you wish to ask me anything at all.

Monk.

Will try that again...

There you go.

Aloha, Skull. Thanks for the positive response. Should be online a little later. I might appear confused though, I keep riding around Org in circles thinking "Huzzah! It's Org! No bouncing Elves!"
