OOC Section 1

The Shatterskulls are a roleplaying (RP) guild, and as such if you are not interested in roleplaying this isn't the guild for you, and we encourage you to and wish you luck in finding a guild which best suits your playstyle. You don't have to have any RP experience to join, only an interest and basic knowledge of RP.


1) Are you interested in Roleplaying?

Been doing it for a while, and I enjoy it, so yes.

2) Please briefly explain what Roleplaying is.

The person who creates the most amount of drama wins...
And.. to fully make your character real, and live into your role/character.

3) What RP experience (if any) have you had?

I RP-ed a bit with the vile thorns on Thalarion, I also RP-ed with Vickram(Vicco)(Gattus his warr on allie) numberous times. So not that much, but i wish to do more, and hope i'll get that chance.

4) Please state three rules of RP.

As less brackets as possible, none to be the best.

Ah, hello there! No doubt if you’re reading this, you are probably very interested in applying to join the Shatterskull Marauders, a blood thirsty, slightly manic warband, might I say with an affinity for fighting, drinking and plunder! Sound like your kind of thing? If so fill out these simple questions and we’ll get back to you! Make sure you fill them out in as much detail as possible – though we don’t want your life story. You can save that for another day!

Don't worry at all, it's almost impossible to fail this application! We just want to know a bit more about you, that's all.

1) First of all, it’s really helpful if you share with us your name. Your full name preferably. Silly nicknames to be added afterwards. Don’t ask about my own - long story involving a party trick...

"Well my name is Thalarion."

2) So from what race do you hail?

"I come from the Sin'dorei race. Just like the high elves."

3) Tell us a little bit about yourself, keep it short, simple and snappy. Sum up your life so far!

"My parents are from Silvermoon City, but I was born just out of the city of Orgrimmar. So i'm not that in touch with my sin'dorei origins.
Also, i practise the art of the Fel Magic. Although I haven't used it in ages, so if I would have to show it, you'd have to give me a moment or .. eight.."*Smiles* "For the rest.. well how would I say it.. I'm just not -that- interesting, maybe I should add this though, I currently work in the Undercity in Tirisfal Glades as a poison brewer."

4) What do you specialise in? Fighting? Magic? Dodgy deals? What is your area of expertise?

"My area of expertise lies in the art of the Fel Magic, I also specialize in the art of alchemy, from poisons to alcoholic beverages."

5) The Alliance, The Scourge and The Burning Legion; What are your personal feelings about these forces?

"In my opinion, they should live in the way they want to live, it doesn't concern me as i've never been confronted with them."

6) What is your most prized possession?

"I have my felhunter since I was just a little sin'dorei, he's been at my side ever since. So that is my most prized possession."

7) How did you hear about the warband?

"I have been around the inn, also known as a bar in the Valley of Honor much lately, and that is where a lot of Marauders are in the recent days, and slowly I learned a few and they told me bit by bit."

8 ) Why do you wish to join the warband?

"Because I know people there, and I have something more close to a family."

9) Why should we take you?

"Because the use of my Fel Magic could come in use for most of the times, plus to have a person that is willing to help the warband is always a good thing I suppose."

10) And finally, sum yourself up using one word, and one word only!

"Life."

Thanks for applying to the Shatterskull Marauders! Should you successfully pass the IC part of our interview, we may require some additional information to help us work out the best options for Marauder Raiding, RP and PvP. So if it’s possible could you please answer the questions which apply to you below:

A lot of fun and entertainment and a fun place to be in as a guild.(Also, very good RP)

3) Do you intend to raid? If so you should contact Sylphi, our raiding officer and check the raiding section of the forums once you've been initiated.

He's sitting next to me as we speak, and fucked up the app with title and shit.. but meh XD It's supposed to be Thalarion, and just that, as the title it'd to be Thalarion the Fel User, but now it just says Application, but meh.. You get it..

But, a vouch from me though, I know how he RP's, he ain't that expierienced yet, but he loves to know more about it.

It can spell. This is good.

We are very happy to see new roleplayers join in, and we will be happy to have you onboard. But there is just one little thing.

When we RP, we do so in a world created by Blizzard, the world has its own history and such, a history we will have to follow. We play in their world. I suggest you check a few things about the Lore of the world we play in when thinking about your background story. The first thing that springs to mind is the fact that you are a Blood Elf. Blood elves life span is a few hundred years, an adult will usually be more than 80 years, and will be old when they are maybe 200 years. Orgrimmar was founded only around 15 years ago, and before that time the continent Kalimdor, in which Orgrimmar is, was unknown land to orcs and humans.

Anyway, we will be more than happy to help you out with these small details, as it is the roleplay that's important. I just suggest that you check into the lore a little, as it will make the roleplaying experience so much better

I'm also more than a little concerned by the fact that Thalarion hangs out with the human paladin Rig, happily bringing him into a tavern in Orgrimmar and then publically trying to defend him.

There are occasional secret deals and friendships cross-faction, but people don't talk about them. There's something about the very strong possibility of being executed for treason that makes people want to be a bit private about that sort of thing.

While Thalarion's actions can in theory be justified on a personal level in-character, it's going to make it very difficult for your character to join the Marauders. Could you offer suggestions on how we're going to overcome that?

i vouch for him coz even though there are some things that need adjusting they arent major,

Erm being friends with a human and essentially comminting what is treason? Yeah that's kind of a big no there Peri and it needs to be sorted out if he wants to join the Marauders.

We are a warband so that sort of thing is major and needs to be sorted as Thrak says.

Background can be reworked at anytime and there are loads of people in guild who will help if Thal asks.

wow a mistake ive made loads of them myself and im pretty sure you ahve as well

...No. We don't do that. Although there was this time.. wait that was on my alliance char invading Org. Anyhow.. I vouch yes, although improvement is still in order.

If he can RP with SSM without turning into another irritating emo-elf then I'd consider changing my opinion.

Yes Peri, everyone makes mistakes. What I'd like you to think about however, is that some people make mistakes a lot more than others. And these mistakes are much more annoying than the mistakes made by others.

Do we as a guild want more of this?

that is somthing only he can do but im sure if he really wants to join he will make the effort,

as for the other things i have been thinking and double checking things and i think (and abit of advice from Dril) a public apology for defending allience would be the best thing to do for that mistacke and the background can be sort if he gets to join
