(A): Been rping for about a year now, first in The three hammers, then Orcs of the red blade, then some in second gurubashi empire and convocation of arcana (the last one being this characters current guild). Am only active in Orcs of the red blade, though
(Q): Why do you want to join us?
(A): I've always liked the whole mercenary thing
Also, i've heard good stuff about you guys
(Q): What is your own definition of roleplay?
(A): Sort of like a blend of storytelling and acting, but with many authors so you have to make compromises and interesting choices, which makes it more challenging but also much more fun
(Q): What do you think makes a good roleplayer?
(A): Knowing that you shouldnt be a Mary Sue, knowing that you cannot always be in the spotlight, the ability to make a believable character and then just being a social and nice person
(i may or may not fill some of these criterias, sorry! xD )
(Q): Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you have.
(A): I mean im okay with raiding, and i have a bit of experience with it, so if you ever do need an extra healer ( i do so love healing ), just tell me
(Q): Are you interested in PvP such as rated battlegrounds and arena groups? If so, what experience do you have with these
(A): Yes, yes, ohmygod YES.
I love pvp in all shapes and forms, im sorta good with my frost mage in pvp, but healing is where i do best ^^
I might not have a healer class in this guild (yet, i really wanna make a resto druid), but i'll gladly help with my resto shammy in orcs of the red blade :3
(Q): How did you hear about the Shatterskull Marauders? (Forum, friends, ingame etc)
(A): I cant really remember, i guess i sorta heard about you as soon as i started searching for my first rp guild on the defias rp forums
I played alliance though, so i never even thought about joining you then, but now the whole mixed-race mercenary thing appeals to me
IN CHARACTER (Meaning it's a dialog)
Greetings potential Marauder. It is required of you to answer a series of questions in moderate detail so we can assess your suitability to us. We are a warband built on bloodthirst, strategy, honour, strength and respect. If you lack these, you are not the candidate for us. However, if you think you have what it takes, carry on!
(Q): Please state your name and the race that you hail from.
(A): My name is Ilìon Brightflame, blood elf scholar from the great halls of silvermoon.
(Q): Why do you wish to join the warband?
(A): I joined the convocation of arcana some time ago so i could gain more knowledge of the arcane, but they soon fell into a sad state of dissaray. Now i need another way to fund my...research, and possibly also my drinking problem. You see, another reason to join is that most elves dont like strong drinks, and well...I like to drink. Sometimes i even get horribly, shamelesly drunk, but that won't be a problem, will it? I've also realized i find research about the arcane to be mind-numbingly boring, so mercenary work is going to be a welcome change, as long as you dont make me do the dirty work.
Do you KNOW how much these robes cost!?
(sorry bout that, i felt like writing something silly, xD)
(Q): While with us, you will be required to fight. Are you willing to fight to the best of your ability for the sake of the Horde and the warband?
(A): Of course i am! Well, probably, depending on how intoxicated i am.
Once you do get me on the battlefield, though, i am quite efficient at disposing of my enemies in a highly violent, yet stylish fashion.
(Q): Please tell us a bit about yourself, this can be personal history, hobbies, or anything.
(A): Im very..artistic. Pray that you never see my personal quarters, they are messy and filled with half painted pictures and poems I never finished. I also like to express myself in a multitude of flamboyant ways ranging from mildly amusing to absolutely outrageous. Besides that, I'm usually quite sociable, except when I've got a hangover. DON'T talk to me at those times.
(Q): We are considered an elite fighting force amongst the Horde. What have you trained and specialized in? What makes you unique in combat?
(A): Despite my races association with fire, I've developed a taste for all things...cold.
Blizzards, spears of ice, bolts of frost, anything, really. As long as it is freezing and lethal, I can and I WILL use it against my enemies.
Im also very mobile on the battlefield, and I like to use my wits to overcome my foes instead of just pure strenght. Expect my enemies to go down in very imaginative ways.
(Q): We as a warband are not fond on cowardice, disobedience, or lack of strength. How will you plan to prove to us you lack these traits during your initiation period?
(A): I dont think lack of strength is going to be a problem, whether it be physical or mental, nor is cowardice (after sufficient levels of drinking, at least), but I'm not good at swallowing my pride.
I will follow any orders given to me, but if I find them disagreeable, dont expect me to stay silent about it.
The Alliance have launched an assault on the Horde of vast proportions. Your home city is under siege, you are defending the walls against your race's foes.
Caught on patrol whilst trying to reach you, your friends in the Marauders are taken prisoner by the Alliance, and in time will be executed. Your people will never allow you to leave; you can only abandon your post in secret. Leaving your post leaves a blind spot in your city’s defenses, one the Alliance are sure to notice and use to break through the walls.
If you rescue your friends, there is no chance you will be able to re-enter your city.
There is no chance the other races of the Horde can send military forces to your home city as they are fighting on their own fronts.
Time is growing short...
(Q): Do you abandon your post and leave your city to die or do you break out under cover of darkness to rescue your friends?
(A): My sense of pride and loyalty wouldnt let me leave my friends to die, but my sense of honor would make it hard to leave my people.
It probably send a bolt of magic into the sky, and hope some poor soul in the city would come and check on it and realize i was gone.
Then i'd head off to save my friends, praying that somebody would take my place, and if they didn't, that my people would put up a hard fight against the alliance.
Call me a traitor, but i will at least try to save my friends, no matter the cost.

And there you go! My character used to be stuck up and snobby, but when he became poor after the fall of the convocation of arcana he finally let down the facade and decided to fulfill himself.
I usually do serious characters, so a rather silly blood elf could be a nice change ^^
