OUT OF CHARACTER
As we are a roleplaying guild, we will only take those applicants on who are enthusiastic about RP. You don't have to be a lore know-it-all, or turn into a walking dictionary to join us however some basic knowledge is prefered. The Marauders however wont hesitate to educate you on what you need, considering you're willing to learn! We do also offer a raid team, and a PvP team that you will have the chance to join if you are accepted into the Marauders.
(Q): Please note any RP experience you have (The Marauders are willing to help you if you lack experience considering you are willing to learn!)
(A): I'm actually very new to RP, I do know the basics of RP however I have had no experience at all. That being said, I would very much like to learn

(Q): Why do you want to join us?
(A): You're one of the most popular RP guilds in the realm and, i've heard you're a friendly bunch with an amazing RP experience so, here I am.
(Q): What is your own definition of roleplay?
(A): Creating a character with a unique personality and seeing things through his or her eyes. For example if you would never betray someone irl, but your character's personality might. Basically to play a different character which you have created for yourself.
(Q): What do you think makes a good roleplayer?
(A): A few things seperates a good Roleplayer from a bad one.
1) Keeps IC and OOC seperate. For example, if you and Jack are best friends IC'ly, but you've just had a fight with Jack OOC, it should not effect the IC relationship you have.
2) God mode. A good Roleplayer would never god emote (*Eludir dodges your attack, and runs away without you ever being able to catch him.*)
3) Character depth. A good Roleplayer would have thought long and hard about his character, and added great deal of depth into his or her story.
(Q): Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you have.
(A): I would like to when I reach 90, currently im around 73 I think.
(Q): Are you interested in PvP such as rated battlegrounds and arena groups? If so, what experience do you have with these
(A): I am not interested in PVP.
(Q): How did you hear about the Shatterskull Marauders? (Forum, friends, ingame etc)
(A): In game, I saw a few of you, and did some research and bumped into the forum post. I read it, and liked what I read ^^
IN CHARACTER (Meaning it's a dialog)
Greetings potential Marauder. It is required of you to answer a series of questions in moderate detail so we can assess your suitability to us. We are a warband built on bloodthirst, strategy, honour, strength and respect. If you lack these, you are not the candidate for us. However, if you think you have what it takes, carry on!
(Q): Please state your name and the race that you hail from.
(A): Eludir, A Sindorei.
(Q): Why do you wish to join the warband?
(A): I was always a lone wolf, you could say. However recently it was brought to my attention that family is the most important thing in life. However if I did return back to my family, due to my constant nature of going out and fighting, they would be in harms way, which is why I decided to leave in the first place. A warband however, a family of unique individuals that fight together? I finally have a purpose in fighting again. Hence, why I'm here.
(Q): While with us, you will be required to fight. Are you willing to fight to the best of your ability for the sake of the Horde and the warband?
(A): Certainly. There is no doubt about this.
(Q): Please tell us a bit about yourself, this can be personal history, hobbies, or anything.
(A): They say collecting stamps is a hobby, or perhaps collecting ancient artifacts. For me? Grooming beasts. When it comes to a beast, I can be one with them, tame them, feed them. I have a collection of beasts with which I travel with. I would say, this perhaps is my hobby?
(Q): We are considered an elite fighting force amongst the Horde. What have you trained and specialized in? What makes you unique in combat?
(A): Archery is my expertise, I never miss a shot. That and my skill with traps. Aside from that, I train all my pets in combat, they fight beside me, listen to me, obey my orders, and kill when I say so. Together, we make a lethal combination.
(Q): We as a warband are not fond on cowardice, disobedience, or lack of strength. How will you plan to prove to us you lack these traits during your initiation period?
(A): Each and every one of us, are scared. If they deny this factor, they are lying. Its as simple as that. The difference, is what you choose to do with the fear inside you. Some might run, flee. On the contrary, some might fight the fear, and push forth. I fall in the latter, and I shall prove this during my initiation period. Likewise with strength, easy to say 'I am the strongest man in all of Azeroth' however its another to show it. Obedience is something I frequently teach my pets, I prefer the leadership role in situations. That being said, I know my place, and I certainly respect the hierarchy of this warband. Taking orders will not be a problem.
The Alliance have launched an assault on the Horde of vast proportions. Your home city is under siege, you are defending the walls against your race's foes.
Caught on patrol whilst trying to reach you, your friends in the Marauders are taken prisoner by the Alliance, and in time will be executed. Your people will never allow you to leave; you can only abandon your post in secret. Leaving your post leaves a blind spot in your city’s defenses, one the Alliance are sure to notice and use to break through the walls.
If you rescue your friends, there is no chance you will be able to re-enter your city.
There is no chance the other races of the Horde can send military forces to your home city as they are fighting on their own fronts.

(Q): Do you abandon your post and leave your city to die or do you break out under cover of darkness to rescue your friends?
(A): Hm... I would leave. Infiltrating, sneaking about, fighting has always been where my interests lie, not defending as much. Although given the opportunity, I can do both. It all comes down to the facts. if I am the only one who knows where the Marauders are, then I would leave. This is because I am not the only one defending my city, there are others. However there is only me, in the marauder situation. I would leave, and rescue the marauders.
