As we are a roleplaying guild, we will only take those applicants on who are enthusiastic about RP. You don't have to be a lore know-it-all, or turn into a walking dictionary to join us however some basic knowledge is prefered. The Marauders however wont hesitate to educate you on what you need, considering you're willing to learn! We do also offer a raid team, and a PvP team that you will have the chance to join if you are accepted into the Marauders.

(Q): Please note any RP experience you have (The Marauders are willing to help you if you lack experience considering you are willing to learn!)
(A): I have lots of experience because I have RP'd a lot on the EU server Argent Dawn. I'm told that I can really play my part good.

(Q): Why do you want to join us?
(A): I have heard that you are one of the best on the server and I like RP'ing with good people

(Q): What is your own definition of roleplay?
(A): Its when you play a character made form ones personal imagination and play its personality.

(Q): What do you think makes a good roleplayer?
(A): Someone that can easily make an amazing character that stays within the area of not ridiculousness. That meaning does not go around as a half mermaid half vampire half dog half fairy fire princess or something. And the RP'er can almost become the character they have made and act as them to near perfection.

(Q): Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you have.
(A): I would love to raid but I am quite in experienced with it .

(Q): Are you interested in PvP such as rated battlegrounds and arena groups? If so, what experience do you have with these
(A): I occasionally do a bg or two. Not exactly a pro.

(Q): How did you hear about the Shatterskull Marauders? (Forum, friends, ingame etc)
(A): All of the above lol.



IN CHARACTER (Meaning it's a dialog)
Greetings potential Marauder. It is required of you to answer a series of questions in moderate detail so we can assess your suitability to us. We are a warband built on bloodthirst, strategy, honour, strength and respect. If you lack these, you are not the candidate for us. However, if you think you have what it takes, carry on!

(Q): Please state your name and the race that you hail from.
(A): I am Wraog of the orcs.

(Q): Why do you wish to join the warband?
(A): I wish to join for I believe I can earn my name amongst a powerful warband. And I am seeking out something...

(Q): While with us, you will be required to fight. Are you willing to fight to the best of your ability for the sake of the Horde and the warband?
(A): My allegiances are with the Horde, so therefore I have no intention of disobeying the Horde. as for the war-band the same goes for it.

(Q): Please tell us a bit about yourself, this can be personal history, hobbies, or anything.
(A): I was raised to be a peon but I fought well in a local tournament in my home village and earned my first real name, Wraog. My birth name was Thunk.

(Q): We are considered an elite fighting force amongst the Horde. What have you trained and specialized in? What makes you unique in combat?
(A): I'm a dk but only in ooc)) I am a warrior and I specialize in close combat. What makes me unique is that I also use shamanistic aspects and call upon the spirits of frost into battle.

(Q): We as a warband are not fond on cowardice, disobedience, or lack of strength. How will you plan to prove to us you lack these traits during your initiation period?
(A): I intend to do so. I will fight with the best of my abilities to prove my worth to the war-band and the Horde.

The Alliance have launched an assault on the Horde of vast proportions. Your home city is under siege, you are defending the walls against your race's foes.
Caught on patrol whilst trying to reach you, your friends in the Marauders are taken prisoner by the Alliance, and in time will be executed. Your people will never allow you to leave; you can only abandon your post in secret. Leaving your post leaves a blind spot in your city’s defenses, one the Alliance are sure to notice and use to break through the walls.
If you rescue your friends, there is no chance you will be able to re-enter your city.
There is no chance the other races of the Horde can send military forces to your home city as they are fighting on their own fronts.
Time is growing short...

(Q): Do you abandon your post and leave your city to die or do you break out under cover of darkness to rescue your friends?
(A): I never had a family or friends in my home city...I was raised by some farmers that found me and they didnt exactly treat me in a "loved" way... I would rescue my friends!

Hrm. I personally find someone role-playing a Death Knight as a living being a bit iffy, seeing how their looks and tool-set are so specific. I am willing to give it the benefit of doubt, though, I know I can be a bit too strict at times.

I'll wait for another officer to post their approval!

Hmmm, I agree with Alph on this, While you could of had a Shaman if you wanted to play a Warrior with some Frost Magic, I can assume you chose a DK cause of the Plate armour, But i'm willing to give you the benefit of the Doubt aswell, Can only tell how you'll be in Rp, Though I might suggest you RP with us abit before hand, so we can see how you handle the Character

I'd say that is fine, though I don't actually have a say

I mean, we have characters who have more than one incarnation so that they can utilise the looks/spells of different classes... I don't see how this is different for a DK.

Are we RPing based on what we see from the game (class colour in chat, basically, or some nuances of stuff like eye colour) or are we RPing based on what the person standing in front of us is doing and saying? Bear in mind that something like MRP completely changes how you view a character anyway.

Personally, I'd say that your character class != your RP character. You class is what you play, your RP character does not have to be the same as this. You can choose a class to get RP "special effects" benefits (eg. wearing plate while casting shamanic spells, summoning demons while being IC a mage, etc.) but otherwise I'd say you wait until you meet the character before you judge it

(Same goes for judging someone based on how they are dressed. Sure, they are choosing to RP with Thunderfury strapped to their back.... have you asked them how it got there? If they are RPing that they got conned by a goblin or whatever, then fine... but you don't ask, you don't know)

I would like to see how the character is played, a death knight as a living person is not an easy thing to agree with, even if your mrp states otherwise, i'd agree with both alph and koaki here.

Not everyone has MRP.
And I don't think having two eyes that GLOW WITH THE ABYSMAL COLD OF UNDEATH is a very minor detail.
