As we are a roleplaying guild, we will only take those applicants on who are enthusiastic about RP. You don't have to be a lore know-it-all, or turn into a walking dictionary to join us however some basic knowledge is prefered. The Marauders however wont hesitate to educate you on what you need, considering you're willing to learn! We do also offer a raid team, and a PvP team that you will have the chance to join if you are accepted into the Marauders.

(Q): Please note any RP experience you have (The Marauders are willing to help you if you lack experience considering you are willing to learn!)
(A): I've been RP'ing in WoW since vanilla, and this character since The Burning Crusade. Although my raiding ambitions kept me out of RP guilds for the most part, my work schedule means that I'll be unlikely to commit to any regular raiding situation, so I figured it's time I join an RP guild.

(Q): Why do you want to join us?
(A): I think Shatterskull Marauders might be the only Horde guild Raziev doesn't have enemies in yet, haha. Also I was in The Dead Rose RP guild on The Venture Co. way back in vanilla / TBC, and you guys were always held in high esteem by both server communities.

(Q): What is your own definition of roleplay?
(A): Creating lasting and memorable stories for every body to enjoy.

(Q): What do you think makes a good roleplayer?
(A): People who acknowledge that their characters are simply that; characters, in a story. Often I've seen drama created when an individual was invested in their character to the point where they would refuse to ever lose. RP is about give and take, especially where conflict is concerned. I think the best RP'ers think about others enjoyment as much as their own.

(Q): Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you have.
(A): I have pretty extensive raid experience. I raided Naxx 40 with on The Venture Co, server second Kael'Thas with . I was part of the 10 man team that did server first Firefighter and Yogg+0 on Defias, and raided ICC10 heroic, claiming Frostwyrm mounts at level 80. I also managed to get green fire at ilevel 480 which made me want to kill small animals. Although I think my hardcore 7-day raiding weeks are over, I think if you were doing something more casual I'd be happy to join in.

(Q): Are you interested in PvP such as rated battlegrounds and arena groups? If so, what experience do you have with these
(A): PVP in WoW has always eluded me, I'd sure like to try and am willing to learn, but I've never been in a successful RBG team or arena team, I mostly stick to random battleground grinding.

(Q): How did you hear about the Shatterskull Marauders? (Forum, friends, ingame etc)
(A): The Venture Co! You guys are famous.



IN CHARACTER (Meaning it's a dialog)
Greetings potential Marauder. It is required of you to answer a series of questions in moderate detail so we can assess your suitability to us. We are a warband built on bloodthirst, strategy, honour, strength and respect. If you lack these, you are not the candidate for us. However, if you think you have what it takes, carry on!

(Q): Please state your name and the race that you hail from.
(A): I am Dr. Raziev Cain, Forsaken apothecary and professor of the Fel arts.

(Q): Why do you wish to join the warband?
(A): Events pertaining to the Dark Portal and the Iron Horde have landed me in a financial predicament, shall we say... and considering you fine fellows are hiring and I'm a dab hand with a shadow bolt, perhaps we can enter into a mutually beneficial arrangement...

(Q): While with us, you will be required to fight. Are you willing to fight to the best of your ability for the sake of the Horde and the warband?
(A): War filled my veins in life and festers still in death. I know of nothing else.

(Q): Please tell us a bit about yourself, this can be personal history, hobbies, or anything.
(A): I was but a simple Lordaeronian farmer in life, concerned only with sewing seed and making an honest living. When the plague of undeath robbed me of everything I held dear, it was the ominous light of the Undercity which granted me new purpose. My farmer's knowledge became weaponised in the Grand Apothecarium, simple spells transformed into machinations of vengeance, and so on. I kill things, for fun.

(Q): We are considered an elite fighting force amongst the Horde. What have you trained and specialized in? What makes you unique in combat?
(A): Tirelessly I've studied apocryphal knowledge beyond the reach of those who live. Grant me esoteric tomes and noxious ingredients and I will grant your enemies suffering to specification. Slow and agonising? Quick and painless? Clean or obnoxiously messy? Your choice.

(Q): We as a warband are not fond on cowardice, disobedience, or lack of strength. How will you plan to prove to us you lack these traits during your initiation period?
(A): I have peered into the void of true death, nothing in this material world can impart fear in me.

The Alliance have launched an assault on the Horde of vast proportions. Your home city is under siege, you are defending the walls against your race's foes.
Caught on patrol whilst trying to reach you, your friends in the Marauders are taken prisoner by the Alliance, and in time will be executed. Your people will never allow you to leave; you can only abandon your post in secret. Leaving your post leaves a blind spot in your city’s defenses, one the Alliance are sure to notice and use to break through the walls.
If you rescue your friends, there is no chance you will be able to re-enter your city.
There is no chance the other races of the Horde can send military forces to your home city as they are fighting on their own fronts.
Time is growing short...

(Q): Do you abandon your post and leave your city to die or do you break out under cover of darkness to rescue your friends?
(A): I bind a Wrathguard and command it to guard my post, whilst performing heroics in tandem. Every body wins, especially me.
