OUT OF CHARACTERAs we are a roleplaying guild, we will only take those applicants on who are enthusiastic about RP. You don't have to be a lore know-it-all, or turn into a walking dictionary to join us however some basic knowledge is prefered. The Marauders however wont hesitate to educate you on what you need, considering you're willing to learn! We do also offer a raid team, and a PvP team that you will have the chance to join if you are accepted into the Marauders.(Q): Please note any RP experience you have (The Marauders are willing to help you if you lack experience considering you are willing to learn!)(A): I am a beginning Roleplayer, but I have tried it out with some events on Argent Dawn to see if it was my thing or not. Well it is and I am willing to learn more and improve my skills.
(Q): Why do you want to join us?(A): First of all I wanted to play Horde and not Alliance and secondly I wanted it to be on a RP PvP server since I am looking for more action and "plunder / pvp" type roleplay. Your guild seems to provide that and more so I got very excited when I found out about the Marauders! Beside that, you seem quite active and seeing as you have years and years of experience, I am sure to find a nice spot in here if you allow me!
(Q): What is your own definition of roleplay?(A): Not to play a game but play a character. It's almost a little bit like acting, you really get sucked up into the world of warcraft and think and act the way your character would, keeping loyal as much as possible to lore and his characteristics.
(Q): What do you think makes a good roleplayer?(A): A person that doesn't break character in certain channels and use OOC channels to deal with OOC talk to provide the best RP experience for himself, but also for others to truly make Azeroth come to life.
(Q): Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you have.(A): I have always been more of a PvP-nut, but I have seen Naxxramas - Ulduar era raiding. I am always open to explore PvE, altho I am not certain if Grimgromm would...however...there was plunder you say?
(Q): Are you interested in PvP such as rated battlegrounds and arena groups? If so, what experience do you have with these(A): Very, very, very much. One of the prime reasons I wish yo join is to Roleplay PvP / raids. Especially world pvp. I have done PvP since I started this game end vanilla/early tbc and always loved BG's (arena less so). I also ran a PvP guild doing RBGs with some friends, tho due to my final year at uni I had to let it go and seek to return to WoW now in a better, more "feeling" fashion.
(Q): How did you hear about the Shatterskull Marauders? (Forum, friends, ingame etc)(A): I have been hopping through some server and asked around in trade chat, LFRP channels and on the forums. Eventually I checked your website and the "who list" and saw there is quite some activity going on so my mark was set on the marauders fairly quick as you have what I look for.
IN CHARACTER (Meaning it's a dialog)
Greetings potential Marauder. It is required of you to answer a series of questions in moderate detail so we can assess your suitability to us. We are a warband built on bloodthirst, strategy, honour, strength and respect. If you lack these, you are not the candidate for us. However, if you think you have what it takes, carry on!(Q): Please state your name and the race that you hail from.(A): My name is Grimgromm "Bonesnapper", an Orc who originates from the Barrens.
(Q): Why do you wish to join the warband?(A): I seek fighting, plunder and a chance to avenge my father by smashing in some Alliance faces! I wish to gain honor on the fields of battle and dedicate myself to the Marauders and the true Horde!
(Q): While with us, you will be required to fight. Are you willing to fight to the best of your ability for the sake of the Horde and the warband?(A): *Grins* Wasn't that clear yet? *Chuckle* Just give me my axe and enjoy the show...
(Q): Please tell us a bit about yourself, this can be personal history, hobbies, or anything.(A): I started my training as a warrior on a early age. My father died when I was young in a battle against the Dwarves and thus I pledged myself on a early age to avenge him and seek honor in battle as any orc should.
Then, before I joined the Horde forces, completing my training, the Cataclysm occured. I lost my family and the woman I once loved. Being the sole survivor, I have nothing much to live for and dedicate myself to the Horde and hopefully the Marauders to lett out my anger, and perhaps get a little plunder..
(Q): We are considered an elite fighting force amongst the Horde. What have you trained and specialized in? What makes you unique in combat?(A): I have specialised myself in fighting with an axe and shield and two handed axes. I also love to snap bones and take them as throphies, that is why people call me Bonesnapper...*grins at you wickedly*
(Q): We as a warband are not fond on cowardice, disobedience, or lack of strength. How will you plan to prove to us you lack these traits during your initiation period?(A): I will always do as I am told and I will always respect those of senior rank. Cowardice? Pff...I have my honor as an Orc!
The Alliance have launched an assault on the Horde of vast proportions. Your home city is under siege, you are defending the walls against your race's foes.
Caught on patrol whilst trying to reach you, your friends in the Marauders are taken prisoner by the Alliance, and in time will be executed. Your people will never allow you to leave; you can only abandon your post in secret. Leaving your post leaves a blind spot in your city’s defenses, one the Alliance are sure to notice and use to break through the walls.
If you rescue your friends, there is no chance you will be able to re-enter your city.
There is no chance the other races of the Horde can send military forces to your home city as they are fighting on their own fronts.
Time is growing short...(Q): Do you abandon your post and leave your city to die or do you break out under cover of darkness to rescue your friends?(A): This is an inner battle of loyalty. Do I remain loyal to my friends, or to my people. I am an Orc, I have my honor and my duty to protect those who can't protect themselves. As hard as it is, I fulfull my duty on the walls and protect the Horde. My Marauder friends are close to me, but they had a fighting chance, these innocent civillians do not. I will try to break the siege and then do whatever I can to help my friends, or ask around if there are some sneaky rogues that might be up for the task.
