OUT OF CHARACTER
As we are a roleplaying guild, we will only take those applicants on who are enthusiastic about RP. You don't have to be a lore know-it-all, or turn into a walking dictionary to join us however some basic knowledge is prefered. The Marauders however wont hesitate to educate you on what you need, considering you're willing to learn! We do also offer a raid team, and a PvP team that you will have the chance to join if you are accepted into the Marauders.
(Q): Please note any RP experience you have (The Marauders are willing to help you if you lack experience considering you are willing to learn!)
(A): I have been in several RP guilds on Defias Brotherhood and sporeggar (the latter was several years ago, though). I have done some heavy RP events, but in the last 2 years I have hardly been in guilds who did any RP whatsoever
(Q): Why do you want to join us?
(A): I found I just miss the way RP guilds are, usually really friendly environment. I spent a lot of time in levelling guilds and it has been a bit of fun, but I really want something more and RP is what can bring my gaming fun from a theoretical 7 to a 10. (on a scale from 1 to 10)
(Q): What is your own definition of roleplay?
(A): Creating a persona and sticking with it. Having it influence the world around it and having that world influence him or her. To join others or create something yourself and have a fun time in a world other than our own
(Q): What do you think makes a good roleplayer?
(A): Limits. Knowing what is acceptable and what isn't. Knowing your character is like yourself: not perfect. A good roleplayer makes mistakes, can get hurt and tries to understand what happens around them.
(Q): Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you have.
(A): If the opportunity arises I would love to join. I have done most raids by now on several characters. This character mainly TBC and WotLK raids. I have mainly taken the role of tank and healer. Due to a rather busy schedule RL-ish I might not be able to join a several-day raid, though
(Q): Are you interested in PvP such as rated battlegrounds and arena groups? If so, what experience do you have with these
(A): I am worse at pvp than a half-eaten tomato. So...if anyone would bare with me I'm willing to learn. If not, I would not mind doing no PvP whatsoever

(A): General Chat, really. Carefully scanning for the abbreviation 'RP'
IN CHARACTER (Meaning it's a dialog)
Greetings potential Marauder. It is required of you to answer a series of questions in moderate detail so we can assess your suitability to us. We are a warband built on bloodthirst, strategy, honour, strength and respect. If you lack these, you are not the candidate for us. However, if you think you have what it takes, carry on!
(Q): Please state your name and the race that you hail from.
(A): Grugash Tongueripper, Wandering Orc
(Q): Why do you wish to join the warband?
(A): For years I have aimlessly wandered the world, keeping myself alive by fighting all who wished to kill me. I have protected rich goblins and spend my time far from all war. Recent events led me back to Orgrimmar and I found the city changed. I felt my soldier heart beating once again and I knew I had to find a place among likeminded members of the Horde.
(Q): While with us, you will be required to fight. Are you willing to fight to the best of your ability for the sake of the Horde and the warband?
(A): If I do not die fighting, I have not lived. If I do not defend what I believe in, I might as well not believe in anything.
(Q): Please tell us a bit about yourself, this can be personal history, hobbies, or anything.
(A): Years ago I was with a warband. I followed a troll, telling me about dreams he had of me becoming a warlord of the Horde. I followed him into a dark place, spiritually. He never returned from it, it changed him into a madman. He manipulated everyone for his own profit. I silenced him and spend most of my time in the Horde Army. After a battle in Icecrown in the cold north, I was left for dead. I was taken care of by a group of Taunka. After I was recovered, I went back to Kalimdor, I went from town to town for a long time, doing whatever I got paid for. Until I met a greedy Goblin who hired me to protect him. I did for a long time, but not anymore.
(Q): We are considered an elite fighting force amongst the Horde. What have you trained and specialized in? What makes you unique in combat?
(A): I master both hammer and axe, carrying a shield. I have spend most of my soldier days protecting others, but I can fight on the front lines as well.
(Q): We as a warband are not fond on cowardice, disobedience, or lack of strength. How will you plan to prove to us you lack these traits during your initiation period?
(A): Dedication and absolute certainty I have found my place. I was trained as a soldier, I know no fear, I follow orders and I carry enough proof of my strength.
The Alliance have launched an assault on the Horde of vast proportions. Your home city is under siege, you are defending the walls against your race's foes.
Caught on patrol whilst trying to reach you, your friends in the Marauders are taken prisoner by the Alliance, and in time will be executed. Your people will never allow you to leave; you can only abandon your post in secret. Leaving your post leaves a blind spot in your city’s defenses, one the Alliance are sure to notice and use to break through the walls.
If you rescue your friends, there is no chance you will be able to re-enter your city.
There is no chance the other races of the Horde can send military forces to your home city as they are fighting on their own fronts.

(A): My friends must have known the risks they took. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten
