OUT OF CHARACTER
As we are a roleplaying guild, we will only take those applicants on who are enthusiastic about RP. You don't have to be a lore know-it-all, or turn into a walking dictionary to join us however some basic knowledge is prefered. The Marauders however wont hesitate to educate you on what you need, considering you're willing to learn! We do also offer a raid team, and a PvP team that you will have the chance to join if you are accepted into the Marauders.
(Q): Please note any RP experience you have (The Marauders are willing to help you if you lack experience considering you are willing to learn!)
(A): I have no RP experience at all, I´m hoping to change that joining you guys! I have written a short story together with a few others at on time, and I´ve written some Mass Effect fanfiction as well as a few short stories of my own. I´m not new to making up stories, I´ve just never done it by RPing.
(Q): Why do you want to join us?
(A): I want to join beacuse I´d love to try out some RP and you happened to be on the server that I picked for my character.
(Q): What is your own definition of roleplay?
(A): Telling and reinacting a story together with others.
(Q): What do you think makes a good roleplayer?
(A): Good interaction I think is the most important part. Second to that comes confidence in the character you have created. Creativity plays a part as well.
(Q): Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you have.
(A): My character is nowhere near raiding level yet, but once WoD hits the shelves and I´ve levled a bit I see no reason why I shouldnt raid. I´ve some raiding experience mainly from early WotLK, I was part of one of the Sylvana servers first Malygos 25 kill, that´s my biggest raiding achievment to date.
(Q): Are you interested in PvP such as rated battlegrounds and arena groups? If so, what experience do you have with these
(A): Playing PvP is what I´ve done the most. I claimed a challenger title one season and I´m a BG hero. I´ve done some RBGs as well to get to conquest cap early in the seasons, but no serious attempts to get good at it.
(Q): How did you hear about the Shatterskull Marauders? (Forum, friends, ingame etc)
(A): I asked in tradechatt if there is any real guild around that does some RP since I wanted to try that out. I was getting sick and tired of being invited to the same leveling and social guilds any time I was thinking about hitting the "Enter the world" buttom. I got a reply from someone in the Marauders, I don't recall the name I´m afraid, Rey-something, and I was told to head to these forums to make an application.
IN CHARACTER (Meaning it's a dialog)
Greetings potential Marauder. It is required of you to answer a series of questions in moderate detail so we can assess your suitability to us. We are a warband built on bloodthirst, strategy, honour, strength and respect. If you lack these, you are not the candidate for us. However, if you think you have what it takes, carry on!
(Q): Please state your name and the race that you hail from.
(A): My name is Syrila, Blood Elf. Back in Silvermoon I was called Bloodthistle
(Q): Why do you wish to join the warband?
(A): I want to see the world. One night at an inn I overheard some tales of your warband's accomplishments, the places you have been to and the trasures you have claimed. I want in on that! The Ghostlands seem so small now that I know what lies outside.
(Q): While with us, you will be required to fight. Are you willing to fight to the best of your ability for the sake of the Horde and the warband?
(A): I´m still young and it´s true that I still have a lot to learn, but what better place is there than in a warband? I might come over as weak compared to your orc brutes wielding those massive weapons, but I´m fast and nimble and know how what part of the dagger goes where. I´m ready to do my part.
(Q): Please tell us a bit about yourself, this can be personal history, hobbies, or anything.
(A): Well, I grew up in Silvermoon not long after Arthas' invasion and I´ve spent most of my youth helping to rebuild the city and fend of the Scourge. I was there when we brought justice upon Dar'Khan, that filthy traitor. After Dar'Khan's death the scourge attacks started to be less powerfull and fewer in numbers, soon there wasn't much fighting to be done anymore and I grew restless. I decided it was time for me to travel, Silvermoon is safe for now and I wont be needed there. I have the bad habit of chewing Bloodthistles, therefore the nickname, that and perhaps the fact that I can be a bit stingy, especially at times when my supply of thistles is empty. But I can quit anytime if you need me too, I swear!
(Q): We are considered an elite fighting force amongst the Horde. What have you trained and specialized in? What makes you unique in combat?
(A): I fight with sword and dagger using speed and agility to fight my enemies. Some fellow rouges tried to teach me how to assault unsuspecting enemies from behind, but I´ve always prefered to see the panic in the enemies eyes as I fight them face to face. Outside of combat I´m a good scout, I move quick and undetected. I can also hunt smal game with bow and arrow.
(Q): We as a warband are not fond on cowardice, disobedience, or lack of strength. How will you plan to prove to us you lack these traits during your initiation period?
(A): I´m expecting the leader to know my capabilites, give me an order that isn't impossible to fullfill, and I´ll get you the results in return.
The Alliance have launched an assault on the Horde of vast proportions. Your home city is under siege, you are defending the walls against your race's foes.
Caught on patrol whilst trying to reach you, your friends in the Marauders are taken prisoner by the Alliance, and in time will be executed. Your people will never allow you to leave; you can only abandon your post in secret. Leaving your post leaves a blind spot in your city’s defenses, one the Alliance are sure to notice and use to break through the walls.
If you rescue your friends, there is no chance you will be able to re-enter your city.
There is no chance the other races of the Horde can send military forces to your home city as they are fighting on their own fronts.

(Q): Do you abandon your post and leave your city to die or do you break out under cover of darkness to rescue your friends?
(A): I will not abandon Silvermoon! All my life I have spent rebuilding it, protecting it! All the misery my people have been through! I will not allow it to happen again!
