OUT OF CHARACTER
As we are a roleplaying guild, we will only take those applicants on who are enthusiastic about RP. You don't have to be a lore know-it-all, or turn into a walking dictionary to join us however some basic knowledge is prefered. The Marauders however wont hesitate to educate you on what you need, considering you're willing to learn! We do also offer a raid team, and a PvP team that you will have the chance to join if you are accepted into the Marauders.
(Q): Please note any RP experience you have (The Marauders are willing to help you if you lack experience considering you are willing to learn!)
(A): Have been active on the alliance side of Defias Brotherhood back in Wrath, where i Rped as a human priest in the "Scarlet Crusade" guild.
(Q): Why do you want to join us?
(A): Looking for a friendly guild to do some casual rp with when im playing WoW.
(Q): What is your own definition of roleplay?
(A): Roleplay is to let imagination flow and have fun I guess. I just enjoy roleplaying because you can use your imagination to be what and whoever you want to be!
(Q): What do you think makes a good roleplayer?
(A): A person with good imagination, a friendly person and a person with kind of a "teamplayer" mind who plays along with other peoples ideas
(Q): Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you have.
(A): Sure, if you need a helping hand? Im an experienced raider. Completed nearly all raids since burning crusade so I know a bit about PvE.
(Q): Are you interested in PvP such as rated battlegrounds and arena groups? If so, what experience do you have with these
(A): Not that good a PvPer but not afraid to engage in some WPvP
(Q): How did you hear about the Shatterskull Marauders? (Forum, friends, ingame etc)
(A): Asked around the realm and looked on the realm forums.
IN CHARACTER (Meaning it's a dialog)
Greetings potential Marauder. It is required of you to answer a series of questions in moderate detail so we can assess your suitability to us. We are a warband built on bloodthirst, strategy, honour, strength and respect. If you lack these, you are not the candidate for us. However, if you think you have what it takes, carry on!
(Q): Please state your name and the race that you hail from.
(A): Name's Gilburg. What race am I? Well what do you think ? .. I'm rich, green and over the top good lookin', well i'm a Goblin of course!
(Q): Why do you wish to join the warband?
(A): Your "band" seems like a friendly lot, you people sure could use one person of my abilities though. I'm an excellent tinker and trader, you make a deal with me and you sure wont be dissapointed... Well its gonna cost you a shiniy or two... or three, heh. Besides, running a great business out of my famous Tanaris' Caravan "Gob-Boss-Caravanexervaganté", i'm quite the "sorceror", eh eh .. Well ok! ok! I might have made a deal of magical powers with a demon or two! but i'm comepletely in control of things! Promise!
(Q): While with us, you will be required to fight. Are you willing to fight to the best of your ability for the sake of the Horde and the warband?
(A): Sure yeah! Im all in on that warband and horde thing .. Garrosh is a coo-. No? Well no of course, he's a horrible person! .. Ok you can use some of my bombs! .. Ok I can throw them around myself then .. if that's what it takes, tsk!
(Q): Please tell us a bit about yourself, this can be personal history, hobbies, or anything.
(A): A bit 'bout myself hm? Well you know my name and i've talked a bit 'bout my business. Other than that my villa on Kezan, well it was incenerated during the eruption, so currently i'm homeless, heh. But i've found out adventuring is just my thing! And well, have to check in with my business down in Tanaris from time to time too, right? Other than that I like fishing .. Well not the traditional kind of way .. A little dynamite fishing is the best! Hah!
(Q): We are considered an elite fighting force amongst the Horde. What have you trained and specialized in? What makes you unique in combat?
(A): Not to brag but I once made a kodo explode from the inside out! Hahaha! Was a "blast"! HAHA! I like those kind of blasting things up spells, and many evenings are spend reading over old tomes i've been gathereing from different "deals" with "old customers" mhm, true that. Hehe.
(Q): We as a warband are not fond on cowardice, disobedience, or lack of strength. How will you plan to prove to us you lack these traits during your initiation period?
(A): First of all i've been called a coward before! But that was only because that big ogre wanted to arm wrestle! So if you mean lack strenght as lack muscle, well compared to an ogre I cant do much! But for a Goblin standard i'm in tip top shape!
The Alliance have launched an assault on the Horde of vast proportions. Your home city is under siege, you are defending the walls against your race's foes.
Caught on patrol whilst trying to reach you, your friends in the Marauders are taken prisoner by the Alliance, and in time will be executed. Your people will never allow you to leave; you can only abandon your post in secret. Leaving your post leaves a blind spot in your city’s defenses, one the Alliance are sure to notice and use to break through the walls.
If you rescue your friends, there is no chance you will be able to re-enter your city.
There is no chance the other races of the Horde can send military forces to your home city as they are fighting on their own fronts.
Time is growing short...
(Q): Do you abandon your post and leave your city to die or do you break out under cover of darkness to rescue your friends?
(A): Hmm that's a toughy! I must say my brothers in that band would be the most important to be, only because my city of Kezan is already destroyed.. on the other hand, what am I saying? That place was a dump! I'd go and help my brother marauders out of course!
