OUT OF CHARACTER
As we are a roleplaying guild, we will only take those applicants on who are enthusiastic about RP. You don't have to be a lore know-it-all, or turn into a walking dictionary to join us however some basic knowledge is prefered. The Marauders however wont hesitate to educate you on what you need, considering you're willing to learn! We do also offer a raid team, and a PvP team that you will have the chance to join if you are accepted into the Marauders.
1) Please note any RP experience you have (The Marauders are willing to help you if you lack experience considering you are willing to learn!)I have no experience, im new to Roleplaying in general. I have been taught the basics by my friend, he told me about the emote and the roll system and the basics, however I think by practice and time, i will learn.
2) Why do you want to join us?Well I was tired from all the leveling and questing and decided to look into RP, my friends quite big on the whole RP thing and its a fun way to spend time socializing with your peers in game, which is something i like to to. Ive heard that your guild is one of the most popular Roleplaying guild on the server and I found it appealing so I thought id give it a try.
3) What is your own definition of roleplay?Roleplay is when you create a different and unique personality of a character and then act him/her in the game, giving emotion to the character you created and simply acting him/her out.
4) What do you think makes a good roleplayer?A good roleplayer does the following things:
1) Doesnt Power RP (i.e God mode)
2) Doesnt make silly mistakes (i.e If your character is stuck IC'ly in Badlands, you cant RP him/her in Orgrimmar. Follow with your IC story)
3) Gives the enemy a chance (i.e Xiaock ATTEMPTS to stab the enemy on his back instead of Xiaock stabs the enemy on his back)
4) Can seperate his OOC feelings and emotions with his IC feelings and emotions. If you're angry OOC shouldn't effect your IC characters personality or behavior.
A bad roleplayer does the opposite.
5) Do you wish to raid with us? If so what experience do you haveNone what so ever and no I do not wish to raid, atleast not yet.
6) Are you interested in PvP such as rated battlegrounds and arena groups? If so, what experience do you have with theseIm quite new to the game actually so im not too sure i'd like to PVP or PVE at 90 however I do love battlegrounds
.
7) How did you hear about the Shatterskull Marauders? (Forum, friends, ingame etc)I did a random search in Orgrimmar and asked someone about the RP guilds on this server and he pointed in your direction, i however do not remember his name
IN CHARACTER Please answer all of these questions in character
Greetings potential Marauder. It is required of you to answer a series of questions in moderate detail so we can assess your suitability to us. We are a warband built on bloodthirst, strategy, honour, strength and respect. If you lack these, you are not the candidate for us. However, if you think you have what it takes, carry on!General Questions1) Please state your name and the race that you hail from.My name is Xi, I am a Blood Elf.
2) While with us, you will be required to fight. Are you willing to fight to the best of your ability for the sake of the Horde and the warband?Yes, that is why im here.
3) Please tell us a bit about yourself, this can be personal history, hobbies, or anything. My name is Xi, I am a blood elf. The shadows is my scene, The weapons is my power. I can infiltrate a territory, befriend any stranger and earn they're trust, Im independent and can take care of myself.
4) We are considered an elite fighting force amongst the Horde. What have you trained and specialized in? What makes you unique in combat?
I have trained for many years in the arts of being one with Shadow, I surprise my enemy and eliminate him or her without said person to move a muscle. I have the ability to sneak around the environment and blend it pretty well and tackle my enemy with me having the upper hand, always.
5) We as a warband are not fond on cowardice, disobedience, or lack of strength. How will you plan to prove to us you lack these traits during your initiation period?Cowardice? Im quite the risk taker, I mostly never say no and Im always up to try new things, I thrive on adventure and action. You can choose to test me in any environment and see for yourself if you wish.
6) What makes you think you are appropriate material for the warband?I can follow orders, I respect my superiors and my peers, Im always ready for a fight or an adventure, Im an honourable Elf.
7) Why do you wish to join the warband?I have lived and traveled alone for a long time, i think i need a change of environment, I do love fighting alongside allies and the idea of a group of unique individuals fighting together is all too good. I want to belong and be part of a true Warband where I can maximize and utilize the skills I have learned.
8 ) We look for experience, but training is given to those with an eager mind to learn our ways. State any previous war and combat experience you have had, including rank and role.As I said i mostly was alone my life however I did do the occasional infiltration to an enemy alliance base to steal some food or some weapons, befriended a gnome to learn a few things about their camp then terminated him when i was given the orders. Im constantly in battle with my weapons, against an enemy. I have no feelings or emotions, I try to shut them out and simply nod and follow orders no matter what they are.
Moral Question
9) The Alliance have launched an assault on the Horde of vast proportions.
Caught on patrol, your friends and allies were taken prisoner by the Alliance, and in time are likely to be executed. You avoided capture.
Meanwhile, your races capital city is slowly being lain siege to, and are desperately calling for any and all aid.
Only you know what direction your friends and allies were taken.
There is no chance the other races of the Horde can send military forces to your home city, as they are fighting on their own fronts.
Time is growing short.
Do you help your friends and allies, or do you ride in aid of your capital city?I would choose to help my friends and allies, although my capital city is where im from, my friends and allies have always had my back and its time to prove I have theirs too.
And Finally
10) Last but not least, are you prepared to show respect and obedience towards your superiors by following orders and addressing them in the correct manner? We as a warband work around a hierarchy of ranks, whilst every Marauder is entitled to their opinion, this hierarchy MUST be respected or the consequences are faced.
I am, I will never betray the warband, you have my word.
Thank you for taking the time to fill out this application form. An officer will be along shortly to take a read, and if successful, you will be contacted in game for an IC interview!
