OOC Section 1

1) Are you interested in Roleplaying?

I love roleplaying, in PC games, when throwing the die, or in the forest with sword in hand. Have been playing D&D, WoD, Warhammer (and 40k) RPGs for some years now, and arrange and attend different LARP scenarios.

2) Please briefly explain what Roleplaying is.

Roleplaying is the art of being someone else, to view the world through the eyes of a fictive character, and to imagine what his behaviour is like. It's about trying out new sides of yourself, being allowed to act in ways that everyday life doesn't permit, and most importantly: having fun.

3) What RP experience (if any) have you had?

I have some RP experience when it comes to many aspects of roleplaying, but haven’t tried wow rp much. My friends and I have been in wow since vanilla, and mostly on RP servers, but the fun of doing RP besides with each other died out because people in general did not respect the servers fokus on RP. But after the Cataclysm, I'll give it a second try.

4) Please state three rules of RP.

Creativity, respect, and enjoyment ( it's more like guidelines )

IC Section

1) First of all, it’s really helpful if you share with us your name. Your full name preferably. Silly nicknames to be added afterwards. Don’t ask about my own - long story involving a party trick...

My name is Nubzwicket, son of Grubswicket and descendant of Fixprocket the Nub

2) So from what race do you hail?

I hail from the Goblins

3) Tell us a little bit about yourself, keep it short, simple and snappy. Sum up your life so far!

Well... My family have worked for the Bilgewater Cartel as long as we care to remeber, doing a fair job skinning the local wildlife so that profit could be made by making leather clothing and selling the skin/hide/fur to needy customers. Flaying living creatures is fun enough, but I never wished for a life as a no good monkey hunter. This is why the fun and explosive art of shamanism cought my eye, under the somewhat chaotic guidence of Max Avalance i rised to be quite good at controling the elemental powers.

When the isle of Kezan blew up, alot of my friends and family blew up with it. My mom and a couple of my sister and brothers still live though, doing different jobs back in Ogrimmar. After landing on Kalimdor, I parted with family and friends, and started traveling the new world, maybe learning and earning something in the process. What that might bring i don’t know, but as for now exploring is what i do. I consider myself a positive goblin, rich on initiative and ideas.

4) What do you specialise in? Fighting? Magic? Dodgy deals? What is your area of expertise?

I specialize in the elements, bending them to my will, with the purpose of hurting enemies and learning a little more about this broken world. Sometimes they talk to me, being all wise like, and sometimes I even listen, most spirits have quite good tales to tale. Stay away from rock spirits though, they are as boring as watching grass grow. As a son of a leather worker, I skin creatures as a hobby, sewing the part together, and selling whatever gear i make. One day i might even be able to channel some elemental energies into my gear, making it worth more.

5) The Alliance, The Scourge and The Burning Legion; What are your personal feelings about these forces?

I don’t ”hate” the alliance as others members of the horde might do, in many years we goblins keept neutral in the conflict and have always been opportunistic when it comes to all kinds of potentional costumers. But now after we teamed up with the Horde, alliance interests is most often a bad thing for us Goblins and our allies. I Fight em whenever i can,( because i can!), but it isn't personal.

The scourge are a weird lot, they are a threat to all living creatures, and you can’t skin them, so i suppose i don’t like em. Heard rumors of the battles in Northren, and they seem to be quite the enemy, more fun for me and my mace then.

The Burning Legion is these powerful fellas from the other side of some portal, they don’t like us, want to kill and burn us, and I don’t like being burned, not again!. The demons i have seen so far is the ones controlled by warlocks, and some weaklings in a cave near Ogrimmar. While i know some powerful Draenei plots the destruction of Azeroth from the Neather, this legion is still somewhat distant to me. Might change opinion once i jump through the portal.

6)What is your most prized possession?

My rocket boots, nothing have more value to me than my rocket boots.

7)How did you hear about the warband?

A herald yelled about you a couple of months ago, before the shattering. Heard it when I was in Ogrimmar, delivering goods to the auction house.

8 ) Why do you wish to join the warband?

I wish to join you because I seek new people to adventure with, I seek an opportunity to know the races of a new world, and of course beat up any fools which might stand in our way. It's always more interesting when doing stuff together.

9)Why should we take you?

Because I got what you need!, I’m willing to commit myself to other peoples causes, pretending that i care for them too. I can be of assistance in a lot of ways, i can skin things, and consider myself a rather pleasant goblin, good at keeping high spirits in bad situations. I’m willing to attack enemies of the guild with both elemental fury and dangerous weapons, and even heal you up when i miss on a blow or two.

10)And finally, sum yourself up using one word, and one word only!

MAD

Questions for those below Level 80

1)Where did you hear about us?

Heard someone from your guild yelling in Ogrimmar a couple of months ago, found your homepage, and read through the threads.

2)What level is your character currently at?

My Goblin shaman is currently at lvl 47, got two 80'ies on this server as well, but considers the Nubzwicket my main.

3)How far do you think you will level your character?

All the way to the top

3)What are your professions?

Leatherworking and skinning, ( and archeology)

4) What sort of activites do you intend to do once you hit 80/85 (eg PvP)?

Once i ding 85, I want to do all kinds of crazy stuff, getting weird achievement and rare archeology items, raiding enemy cities and capitals, eat deviate delight with a cold glass of noggenfogger, enjoy season events and simply having a good time.

I’ve never been fond of raiding, did some runs back in vanilla, but the repeating work made it boring, and the guilds i played in where not good at what they did. ( I’m not stating that I’m a pro gamer, but the fact that we wiped a lot, and people ninjaed guildbanks and items have without doubt made my view on raiding a skeptic one). I am aware that there is a long way from Molten core and Naxx to the raids in wow today, and I’m open about trying again, especially if Shatterscull Marauders is the guild for me.
What i do like to do when it comes to instances and PvP is battlegrounds and 5 man instances.

5A) Are you an ALT from TVC?

Nubzwicket is now my main.

5B) Awesomeness, who's your main character?

My two 80 characters are Barathor, a tauren druid, and Thalleus a bloodelf mage. Might play on them again in the future.

6A) Are you a reroller from another server?

Nopes, got some characters on others servers, but I’ve been on TVC for years.

6B) Glad to have you, what server is your main character on?

6C) What do you hope to find here on The Venture Co.?

Hmm. Proper answering of all the questions, knowledge of how typical goblins behave and a touch of comic relief. I like.

A relief to see a decent application after the recent swathe of dull and lifeless attempts to gain audience with the inquisition. Ok, I mean interview. Seriously though, thanks for the read : )
